Have me login to your website and make configurations to Yoast, Analytics, and Search Console. I will write approximately 10 pages of practical recommendations in a Google Doc which we’ll walk through together. Be prepared to write some content. Learn more.

Keyword List – if you don’t have step 1 down, chances are the rest of your SEO efforts will fail. I’ll create a keyword list using your services, geographies, and data from tools, while analyzing the competition in Google’s search results. After filtering out low volume and high competition keywords, you’ll be left with the only the best phrases. You will use these to create your content.
Yoast – the SEO plugin I recommend. You can break Yoast down into 3 steps: settings configuration, creating a keyword list, and content optimization. I can do the first 2 then train you (and other content writers) on the 3rd. Green lights does NOT always result in page 1 rankings; there are many content optimization elements outside of Yoast, which I will teach you.
Google Analytics – I can set this up for you if needed. The Admin menu is full of settings which should be configured properly. I’ll go down the list – filtering employee IP addresses to exclude internal traffic, setting goals, linking Google Search Console + AdWords, then installing custom dashboards to help segment data. Your data will then be analyzed (while keeping any objectives you have in mind) so we can improve your content / website. Analytics training can be provided.
Google Search Console – critical to finding errors and improving technical SEO. I’ll start by configuring Search Console and integrating it with Yoast. Your sitemap will then be submitted to Google, Bing, and Yandex. Crawl errors (broken pages) will be identified so we can redirect them to the correct pages. Mobile, security, and snippet errors will be identified and explained to you. The Search Analytics section will be used to identify keywords and measure rankings (since Analytics doesn’t show these) and any errors will be fixed if you would like me to do this for you.
Local SEO / Maps – if these show up for most of your keywords, we’ll want to follow Google’s local search ranking factors. I can help you optimize your Google My Business page, citations (similar to online directories), reviews, and geo-targeted landing pages to rank higher for keywords in your city. You’ll still want to incorporate the other factors listed on this page.
SEO Management – an SEO audit is a mandatory step before I manage your SEO. I don’t want to go in blindly, neither do you. We need a comprehensive outline of the work that needs to be done, and talk about who is going to do it. After that, then we can talk about SEO management.
Optimizations You Don’t Need Me For
Citation Building (Whitespark) – citations are online profiles like Bing Places, Yahoo Local, and YellowPages. They’re 20% of local SEO and are especially important for Google Maps. Start with Google My Business, then Moz Local (analyzes your top 20 citations), then hire Whitespark to build additional citations. You don’t need me to do this, but you should either outsource this to Whitespark (industry leader with 4.9 stars on Google and 120+ reviews), or use their resources to do this yourself. It’s $4-5 per citation and all you need to do is fill out their intake then pay them.
Speed Optimization (Freelancer) – making your site load faster improves both SEO and conversions, but it does get technical. You can hire a WordPress Speed Optimizer on the Freelancer website (like user bdkamol) for $33/hour who is the SAME freelancer I use for all my speed optimization projects. He optimized my WordPress site to load in less than 1 second. He can configure W3 Total Cache, CloudFlare, and MaxCDN (just sign up and send him your logins).
