I grew up in one of the wealthiest areas in the US (Lake Forest, IL).
Love my family, but we weren’t rich. My dad was a mail carrier and my mom was a telemarketer. I graduated from SIU with a marketing degree and student loans up my ass. So I asked myself what most people ask themselves when they’re struggling to become financially independent.
How am I going to pay off my debt?
I tried web design but there’s a million companies and freelancers out there – the industry is very competitive and people are always changing shit. I did SEO and was doing pretty good… #1 ranked WordPress SEO Consultant in Google worldwide and was getting 5+ inquiries a day through my site – until I got a Google Penalty from hiring a bad link builder (more on that).
Then I tried affiliate marketing. I already had decent traffic (700 visits/day) so I was able to quickly add affiliate links to my blog and earn an extra $1k/month. Small, but I saw potential.
I eventually started Elevating WP where I teach people how to build a passive income through WordPress SEO and affiliate marketing while avoiding the mistakes I made. Last year I made $28,000 passive income which ain’t bad at 27. And I finally get to do something I love – teach.
I ain’t rich, and I’m not promising to make anyone rich. But I make comfortable living off SEO and affiliate marketing while working from home, which I can show you how to do. I also know hot to take a complex topic like SEO and turn it into concise, step-by-step instructions.
And I ALWAYS respond to comments so if you need help and don’t feel like paying for consulting, comment on the article you have a question about. Helping is kinda my thing.
